The family cabin was originally located near in Lake Tahoe, near Reno. The land was sold off by the family but the family got to keep half of the cabin.

As a child, Michael was promised by George to visit the cabin but George always took a mistress to the cabin instead. G.O.B. was never told about the cabin, so Michael offered to take him to the cabin for one first time before it was carted off. However, Michael changed his mind and instead took George Michael. The next morning they found out they were being carted away, still in the cabin, by George Bluth. ("The Cabin Show")

3x03 Forget-Me-Now (48) — The Bluth family in the cabin, in "Forget-Me-Now"

On the porch of the cabin, on the side of the highway, Michael agrees to help George stay out of prison. He gets the Warden to agree to let him wear an ankle and remain under house arrest. Lindsay Bluth Fünke is later forced to drive the cabin, much to her chagrin. The Bluth family tried to use the cabin as a trailer for Andy Griffith, who took offense to it. ("For British Eyes Only")

The Bluths decide to be nice to Michael and pick up Rita to be polite. They pick her up in the family cabin and she is rightfully confused. ("Forget-Me-Now")

Michael and Rita go on a date in the cabin. Rita plays the banjo while Michael tells her details of Bluth Company fraud. ("Mr. F")
